“Deep dive into dyslipidemia: myths and realities” program

This comprehensive, 11-module learning program – developed by leading cardiologists from around the world – will challenge commonly held beliefs to separate myths and realities through evidence-based research.

Participants will learn about the latest data, clinical evidence, and recommendations for effective and safe management of adults with dyslipidaemia, from disease pathophysiology to efficacy and safety of various treatments, approaches to treatment for special populations and patients with cardiovascular comorbidities, and overcoming barriers to effective treatment.

Overarching learning objectives:

  • Explain the pathophysiology of dyslipidemia, with or without hypertension, in the development of atherosclerosis and the increased risk of CVD
  • Review and evaluate the data for recommended treatment strategies in dyslipidemias, including treatment targets, duration, and intensification
  • Identify physician and patient barriers to achieving targets and highlight strategies to overcome these challenges
